Carosello is a bookcase inspired by the urban carousels of the early twentieth century. The carousel is one of the archetypal forms of traveling popular entertainment and has always represented a poetic and nostalgic form that recalls childhood. The project captures this evocative character in the design of a lightweight structure composed of thin metal rods topped with wooden spheres and resting on solid polymorphic bases, alternating with shelves of different finishes and dimensions. The chromatic choice of wooden veneers further emphasizes the reference to a specific aesthetic dimension: the one of the fantastic.
